Baked Bean Sandwiches

Today our class made baked beans sandwiches, I did not participate in making my own one. This sandwich cost about 60c, which was a homemade sandwich.

Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup of softened butter        
• 1/2 cup of smooth or crunchy peanut butter
• 1/2 cup of Chelsea White Sugar
• 1/2 cup of Chelsea Soft Brown Sugar, firmly packed
• 2 eggs
• 1 1/4 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Utensils

• Hand mixer
• Big mixing bowl
• Measuring cup
• One teaspoon

Matariki Artwork Van Gogh

Our art that we've created is based on Matariki, this art was named Starry Starry Night copied after Van Gogh's artwork. We decided that we wanted this artwork because Matariki was coming up soon, so we thought we'd draw this one and also it looked easy for us to draw and paint it.

4G is a rule in the temple, 4G stands for: give others convenience, give other hope, give others joy and give others confidence. These word are very important for the temple.

Reading e asttle T2 results

 On my reading results I slightly moved up a bit. 
On the first reading results I had a bad score which was 2P and today I now have 2A but I am not working in the curriculum level. 

Matariki Art

Todays art was about starry night, our teacher chose starry night because it looked alot like Matariki and the seven stars. Our way was to copy Van Gogh's style and do thick layers of blue paint around the stars in circles. Then we added a few dots on our stars. This art took us a few weeks after we finally finished it and displayed it in our school hall.

This week I remained the same because I needed
to work faster and know my groupings with hundred faster.
To improve I will get faster at practicing
my addition faster and my groupings with hundred
every ten minutes. Next week I would like to get 90%
so that I could move up to stage 6.
By the end of the term, I hope to be at stage 7 so that
I could be where
I’m supposed to be.

Wishing Bell

The wishing bell can make your wish can come true if you work for it.

your wish doesn't just come to you, you have to work for so that you can achieve it and be a happier person.

Buddhist temple

Buddhism is a difference kind of culture because they do different stuff then we do. 

The buddhist temple is a place for peace and quiet, in the middle of the temple there is grass known as mondo grass it is very strong and if you crush it, it will get back up and reform its shape. The buddhism people are known as monks or nuns. The temple was built eight hundred years ago when buddha was born.

Lotus flower

 Today the whole school went to the Buddhist temple to learn how to do good deeds, good words and think good thought. The flower in the picture  is called a lotus flower, It floats on a muddy pond. The bell in the Buddhist temple was used to wake up people at 6am in the morning.
