Food for Thought #1

Today, Adele from the heart foundation came to our class to teach us how to stay healthy and fit. First she taught us how big or small our hearts were and also showed us the food groups. Adele taught us stuff like new words and what we had in our favourite cereals.


The first thing Adele taught us was about different food groups, she then told how much percent of sugar and salt were stored in all kinds of food. Moving on, Adele spoke about what the different food kinds of food that could fill your stomach up, what could clean your stomach and what could get you ready for sports.


Thereafter, Adele then gave one cereal card between two students. On the cards its had information about how healthy it really was and also if it was good eat for breakfast. Finally she wrote on the board how much stuff were in the cereals like how much fiber, sugar, sodium and energy where in the cereal.
Lastly, we were given a packet full of cards that had these drinks on it.


Thereafter we move to our last activity, Adele had to call out all the months, at each month she called out, student would put their hand up and move to the students desk with the same month. The activity was cool how we got to put all the drinks in order like from less sugar to more sugar drinks.


At the end of this session, Adele had leave because she had to be somewhere else, Lastly we then carried on with our own work.
